CUMBERLAND INTERROGATIONS HALTED

A convenience store chain accused of pressuring employees into admitting theft has stopped the interrogations, according to store employees and attorneys.

Cumberland Farms, which has 1,200 stores and hundreds of gas stations in 11 states, including Western New York, has denied the allegations.

Store employees and attorneys indicate that no Cumberland Farms cashiers have been interrogated or asked to sign a confession since September, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Sunday.
