REBECCA ANN NICHOLSON, JOBS CORPS WORKER

Services for Rebecca Ann Nicholson, who was found slain in her home Thursday morning, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Barber Funeral Home, 52 S. Portage St.

Ms. Nicholson, 49, of Prospect Road, was born in Chautauqua and was a graduate of Jamestown Business College. She had been a medical secretary at Hammot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., and more recently had worked part time at the Job Corps center near Cassadaga.

She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Ann Nicholson of Bridgeport, Conn., and a brother, William Howard Lynch.

Burial will be in Chautauqua Cemetery.

Chautauqua County investigators said they are piecing together information as they search for a motive and suspect in her slaying. Sheriff John Bentley earlier had revealed that Ms. Nicholson had been shot once in the chest and that a small-caliber bullet had gone through her heart.
