Seven members of the Pulaski Police Association of Western New York were sworn in as officers for 1991 during the organization's annual Christmas dinner Saturday).

They are: president, Detective Alfred Ziemecki, Buffalo Police Department; first vice president, Sgt. Kenneth E. Mrozik, state Department of Corrections; third vice president, Walter Kantorski, a former Buffalo officer; secretary, Detective Sgt. Jerry Szuminski, Lancaster Police Department; treasurer, Officer Ronald Skotnicki, Buffalo Police; financial secretary, Lt. David Gorski, Depew Police Department, and sergeant at arms, Officer Mark Everett, Department of Corrections.

College scholarships funded by the association were presented to Christina M. Pawelczak, Kim Jagodzinski, Mark C. Hartrich, Tod Kniazuk, Michael J. Dombrowski and Joseph M. Kowalski.

The association named Edward Cichon, a Depew funeral director, "Businessman of the Year." Retired Depew police Officer Richard Zolnowski, Corrections Officer Al Szczepanek and South Park Station Detective Albert Kazprzak were named "Pulaski Association Men of the Year." A merit award went to John Pawlowski, a retired Buffalo police officer.
