The Jamestown Planning Commission has called for a full environmental impact statement for a proposed gasoline-blending plant on Allen Street.

Robert Barber, commission chairman, said the initial state environmental review submitted for the plant is complete but insufficient for the project.

The Americlean plant was proposed several months ago by the operators of NACO Trucking Co. It would employ about 35 persons.

The Planning Commission decision was hailed by neighbors who oppose locating the plant in their area.
