The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has begun to announce dates for the rescheduling of concerts which were postponed during the orchestra's two-month delay in the start of the 1990-91 season. The first five concerts with firm new dates are all in the Pops or Discovery series, all concerts in Kleinhans Music Hall. They are:
Fri. & Sat., Jan. 5-6, 8 p.m. -- Pops: Broadway With a Beat conducted by Norman Leyden, originally scheduled for Nov. 8-9.
Sun., Jan. 6, 2:30 p.m. -- Discovery Series: Captain Kangaroo, with Arie Lipsky conducting, originally scheduled for Sept. 30.
Thurs. & Sat., April 4 & 6, 8 p.m. -- Pops: Lerner & Loewe Spectacular conducted by Mitch Miller, originally scheduled for Oct. 12-13.
Sun., April 7, 2:30 p.m. -- Discovery Series, "Around the World," with Arie Lipsky conducting, originally scheduled for Nov. 25.
Thurs., June 27, 8 p.m. (one night only) -- Pops program to be announced, originally scheduled Oct. 27-28.
The orchestra advises ticket holders that they need not exchange existing tickets, as the tickets for the originally scheduled dates will be honored on the new dates. If additional information is needed, call the ticket office at 885-5000.
