Norstar Bank has elected Irene K. Schmidt and Jeffrey S. Bernstein senior vice presidents.
Mrs. Schmidt joined the bank in 1962 as an exceptions clerk in the Operations Division. She was promoted to assistant vice president in 1975, and later became a vice president and manager in the Operations Division. In 1988, she was named vice president and manager of the bank's Answer Center and most recently, she served as vice president and manager of the Consumer Banking Administration's Branch Support Group. She lives in Williamsville.
Bernstein joined Norstar in 1987 as vice president and officer-in-charge of retail collections and recoveries in the Consumer Loan Services Division. He later was appointed to direct the bank's Small Business Lending Group. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and the National Institute of Credit.
Riverwood Health Care Center, 2850 Grand Island Blvd., Grand Island, has named Darlene Meetze administrator. She previously served as coordinator of planning and opening, and as administrator for a new health care facility in Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Cortland State College and is a resident of Amherst.
Key Bank of Western New York has elected Nina G. Cimato an assistant cashier. She is manager of the recently acquired Black Rock-Riverside branch office. She previously managed the same branch office for the Permanent Savings Bank.
Peter J. Schmitt Co. Inc. has appointed Susan C. Scott manager of employee benefits. She had been an assistant vice president with Empire of America Federal Savings Bank. She is a graduate of Canisius College and is a resident of West Seneca.
Corson Manufacturing Co., a Lockport-based independent producer of folding paper cartons, has appointed Susan Moss a sales representative. Prior to joining the company in February, Ms. Moss was a consumer affairs specialist with the Food Marketing Institute in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Trinity College.
The Purchasing Management Association of Buffalo has announced that Kathleen Hearn has received the "Daniel J. Bulmahn Award" from Thruway Fasteners Inc. The company presents the memorial award annually to a member of the Purchasing Management Trade Show Committee who "best exemplifies the high integrity of and dedication to PMAB's philosophy of operation." Ms. Hearn has served as a director of PMAB for three years and has been a member of the Trade Show Committee for the past six years.

Morrow holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Canisius College. He previously worked in Recra's organic analysis laboratories.
Jones is a graduate of Syracuse University. He joined Recra in 1988 as a sample controller.
Ms. Schimpf is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. She previously was a sales representative for Analytab Products.
