The Youth Ministry of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church will sponsor a 12-hour sleep-out, to draw attention to the plight of the homeless, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday on the steps of the church at 2486 Grand Ave.
Ministry spokesman Robert Barthel said some 30 people, including 25 teens, will sleep out.
They will collect funds and pledges. Donations will be presented to the Catholic Worker of Niagara Falls and some to Catholic Charities, Barthel said.
A prayer vigil also will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight, he said.
