REGIONAL PLANNING BOARD IS REVIVED 13 COMMUNITIES MAKE UP CHAUTAUQUA PANEL

Local governmental officials from northern Chautauqua County Wednesday area decided to revive the Regional Planning Board.

They decided that the 13 municipalities would each have one delegate and one alternate, with both to be appointed locally. Each municipality would have one vote.

The temporary co-chairmen are Margaret Wuerstle, director of development for the City of Dunkirk, and Richard Leone, chairman of the Fredonia Planning Board.

The next meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Village Hall here.

The board will be looking at planning on a regional basis.

Wednesday's meeting was attended by Gene DelGreco, the new director of the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Development. He said he would look at the 1974 regional plan that was drawn up with federal funds.

The governmental officials in attendance expressed interest in regional planning of roads and drainage.

Miss Wuerstle suggested that development of the Dunkirk harborfront also is a regional concern.

Fredonia Mayor Louis C. Mancuso announced a second group would be formed consisting of elected officials.
