Thomas A. Tarapacki, sports editor of the Polish American Journal, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame.

Buffalo area residents Bobby and Michael DiNunzio and Randy Pikuzinski have been assisting the Western New York chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, even though they spend the indoor soccer season in Canton, Ohio, playing for the Invaders of the National Professional Soccer League.
The three sold Super Bowl raffle tickets for the Buffalo Chapter of JDF.
Asked what prompted them to help out the local chapter, Pikuzinski said, "My father is diabetic and I never realized the seriousness of the disease until he was diagnosed."
Pikuzinski has been with the team since 1985, the team's second year of existence. Bobby DiNunzio joined the Invaders in 1987 and Michael in 1988.
Parents of the three players still live in the Buffalo area: Phil and Carol DiNunzio in the Town of Tonawanda, and Rudy and Lori Pikuzinski in Buffalo.
