2 HURT, TRAFFIC DISRUPTED IN 3-CAR AMHERST CRASH

Two people were injured this morning in a three-car accident that tied up traffic at a busy Amherst intersection, police said.

The accident occurred at 8:30 a.m. at Maple Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard, next to the Boulevard Mall, said Amherst Police Lt. Richard Langenfeld.

Traffic was redirected as crews cleared the wreckage and transported two injured motorists to Erie County Medical Center, police said.

Police did not release the identities or conditions of the two people who were injured.
