Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 W. Main St., for Robert E. Fox, 72, of Grove Street. Burial will be in Arcade Rural Cemetery.
Fox died Monday (Dec. 10, 1990) in Veterans Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness. He retired as a school bus driver for Robert's Bus Service in Java Center.
He also worked for Arcade Municipal Electric Co.
A former town official, he served 18 years as an assessor and was a member of the Arcade town baseball team that won the Western New York championship in 1957. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Knowlton; a son, Gerald; a daughter, Nanette of Rochester; two sisters, Eileen Saudye of Pendleton and Marion Kelsey of Kendall, and two grandchildren.
