A memorial service for Leslie J. Wolkow, 80, a former Orchard Park resident, was held in Glendale, Ariz., his home for more than 30 years.

Wolkow, who grew up in the Town of Yorkshire in Cattaraugus County, died Saturday (Dec. 8, 1990) in the Glendale Health Care Center. He was buried in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, Ariz.

A long-time employee of the public school system in Phoenix, Ariz., Wolkow retired in 1983 as a maintenance engineer. Before moving to Arizona, he worked for many years as a driver for Ralph D. Young Trucking Co. of West Seneca.

Wolkow was born in Hartford, Wis., and moved to Western New York as a child with his family.

His first wife, the former Pearl Glanz, died in 1956.

He is survived by his second wife, Irene; a daughter, Dorothy Cline of the Town of Hamburg; a brother, Dorcea of the Town of Hamburg; a sister, Orwilla Paveljack, and a grandson.
