Haven't we heard enough from Republican county legislators complaining about everything Dennis Gorski does? Mary Lou Rath, Ralph Mohr and company put politics before public service, period.
Instead of constructively dealing with county business, they huff and puff and squabble and fuss. Not much gets done but then that's OK by them. They seem to like the sounds of their own voices. Their attitude is: "Keep my paycheck coming and put me on the news. I'll worry about the county later. I've got politics to take care of."
Recently, they all ran to Comptroller Alfreda Slominski's office, hoping to tear apart Gorski's new budget. They figured if anyone could find something wrong with it, "watchdog" Alfreda could.
After reviewing the numbers, the comptroller labeled Gorski's budget "sound" and balanced. This reflects well on Mr. Gorski's administration, particularly in light of the mess we were in a few years back.
