Goldome has elected Edward F. Hacherl and Jack Baron vice presidents. Hacherl, manager of accounting policies, joined the bank in 1987 as an assistant vice president. He previously worked as an audit manager for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. Hacherl is a certified public accountant with a bachelor's degree from the School of Management at the University at Buffalo. He lives in the Town of Tonawanda.

Baron is director of telephonic banking and institutional sales for Goldome. He joined the bank's management development program in 1987, and subsequently worked as manager of sales and operations for GDM Securities. Baron is a graduate of the University of Rochester and currently is enrolled in the MBA program at UB. He resides in the Town of Tonawanda.

The American Society for Industrial Security, Western New York Chapter, has elected Roger W. Benton chairman. He is president of Information Security Solutions of Gasport. Other officers are: vice chairman, Shawn F. Byrne; treasurer, Donald R. Boundy, and secretary, Robert W. Klementowski.

Jasen & Jasen, a law firm at 620 Liberty Building, has announced that Matthew J. Jasen has joined the firm as counsel. A retired state Court of Appeals judge, Jasen previously served as counsel for Moot & Sprague law firm. He sat on the bench of the State Supreme Court for 10 years before being elected to the Court of Appeals in 1967. He retired in 1985, at the age of 70. On occasion, Jasen has worked for Judicate, a national private court organization that hires retired judges to preside in civil cases. He also has served as a member of the state Bar Association Task Force on Administrative Adjudication and the Judicial Conduct Commission. He is a graduate of Canisius College and the University at Buffalo Law School. He lives in Orchard Park.

John Nuveen & Co. Inc., a nationwide investment banking firm, has named John Schimert of M&T Bank a member of the Nuveen Advisory Council, a select group of investment professionals.

Central Copier Service, 974 Kenmore Ave., has appointed John K. Kerr, Bart H. Menegay and Mark M. Jagord sales consultants.

S/Wizardry Ltd. of Troy has announced that its president and chief technical officer, Christopher Nelson, has been elected to the board of directors of Interex, the international association of Hewlett-Packard computer users. Nelson grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Lafayette High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
