The recent purchase of MCA Inc. by Matsushita Industries points out again the folly of the war that President Bush is trying to drag us into.
Japan for years has spent little on armaments while America is burdened with a staggering sum. America's success in war (and I say America's, for we are the ones who will have to do the fighting and dying) will assure Japan of dependable low cost fuel so her industries will continue to underbid our heavily taxed industries.
Her recent offer of $1.5 billion in cash is but a small token.
