PATIENCE IS THE KEY IN MIDDLE EAST

There is no argument that Iraq must withdraw from Kuwait. The world must demonstrate to Iraq it will not tolerate any national usurping of the rights and freedoms of another nation.

I realize sometimes you have to fight to preserve freedom, but it should always be the last resort. We have to continue trying peaceful means in getting Iraq out of Kuwait.

We should strangle Iraq with the embargo until Saddam cries "uncle" or until he attacks the Saudi oil fields and our troops as he has threatened. And if he does attack, then we are justified in unleashing our military forces.

Until then, let's not rush into war. Let's be patient and hope the cost of removing Iraq from Kuwait will only be time and money and not countless lives.
