WILLIAMSVILLE SOUTH STUDENT WILL REPRESENT ERIE COUNTY

A Williamsville South High School student will compete in the state Young Woman of the Year contest Feb. 23 in Glens Falls.

Suzanne Taylor, 17, won the Erie County title Saturday evening at a competition among 15 high school seniors in Orchard Park High School. Competitors were judged on scholastic achievement, creative and performing arts, physical fitness. A total of $1,000 in scholarship money was distributed.

The First runner-up was Sara Ponkow, 17, the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart in Eggertsville, and the second runner-up was Jennifer MacDonald, 17, of Cardinal O'Hara High School in the Town of Tonawanda.
