Services for George R. Owen, a retired electrician at the former Lockport Felt Co., will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 2670 Main St. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Lockport.
Owen, 71, of Corwin Avenue died Thursday (Dec. 6, 1990) in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo.
A midget race car enthusiast, he drove in races for many years, retiring recently.
He was a member of Newfane United Methodist Church, Newfane Lodge 947, Free and Accepted Masons, and the Newfane Golden Agers.
He also was a member of the Tri-County Racing Club, the National Modified Midget Association and the Winchester Indiana Speedway Old Timers Club.
Survivors include his wife, the former Geraldine Collins; two sons, Douglas of Lockport and Dwight of Albion; two brothers, Charles R. and Kenneth R., both of Medina, and four grandchildren.
