Editors of the student newspaper at the State University at Binghamton plan to sue the group responsible for publishing a dummy issue that proclaimed "U.S. Invades Iraq" and "Students Drafted."
The phony edition, using the logo and format of Pipe Dream, threw the campus into a panic shortly after it was distributed Wednesday.
However, the stories buried disclaimers in their last paragraphs: "The events described above have not happened. Yet. But they may."
Editors of Pipe Dream said a student group, Looking Left, known for its radical politics, had published the phony issue to make an anti-war statement.
