I agree with a Nov. 22 letter about priorities. The writer stated that the City Mission could feed and shelter 500 people for 10 years on the $6 million it would take for the state to restore the Martin House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
What I do not agree with is his remark about tearing "the old place" down and finding a contractor to build a new one for less than $1 million. I, like many, believe that such works of architecture should be preserved. Once you destroy a work of art, you can never regain the original design.
