LOCAL IMPACT OF GAMES TO BE DISCUSSION TOPIC

The expected economic impact of the 1993 World University Games will be discussed Thursday by Dr. Andrew J. Rudnick at the sixth annual Ambassador Luncheon of the Buffalo-Western New York Council for International Visitors.

Rudnick, president of the Greater Buffalo Development Foundation, will speak during the noon luncheon in the Hyatt Regency Buffalo. He is also president of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Society Board.

"We wanted to focus on the World Games at this year's luncheon," said Carol Stein, executive director of the Council, which provides hospitality for visitors from countries represented in the United Nations who are sponsored by the government or by private exchanges. "The games are very important to the area and there's already a lot of interest in the community. We want to help talk about the games as much as we can, to get the people of Western New York ready."
