ADF Construction Corp. and DRT Development are teaming up to design and develop a 16,200-square-foot office building in DRT's Windsong mixed-use project in Amherst.
Groundbreaking for the facility will be held early in January, with the building due to be completed within seven months, said Sam Savarino, ADF executive vice president.
Amherst Cardiology and Internal Medicine Associates and Wehrle Diagnostic Labs are two tenants that already have been signed by the building's owner, The 6333 Main Street Professional Building. Each will take 6,500 square feet, with about 3,200 square feet still available.
The ADF-DRT collaboration is one of the first buildings in Windsong, an 83-acre parcel located off Main Street, just east of Erie Community College's North Campus.
The site includes about 31 acres for office-building construction, 31 acres for multi-family housing and about 20 acres for general business operations, including retail.
The site is targeted at developers and investors wanting to build for others, or for companies or professional people looking to own rather than lease space.
A major north-south road, Spindrift Drive, will run through the project, connecting Main Street and Wehrle Drive.
