Francis J. Mangefrida of Le Roy has been recommended as the successor to Francis C. Repicci as one of Genesee County's two elections commissioners.
Samuel Dorsey, chairman of the Genesee County Democratic Committee, said Monday Mangefrida's name will be submitted to the County Legislature, which makes the appointment.
Mangefrida would succeed Repicci, who has held the $18,000-a-year post for the last 16 years. Repicci was named Batavia town manager earlier this year.
His resignation from the elections post is effective Dec. 31. The county has a Republican and Democratic elections commissioner, each appointed on the party's recommendation.
