Funeral services for Clayton "Shorty" Vance, a retired chemist, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Curriers Wesleyan Church.
Vance, 78, a former Delevan resident, died Friday (Nov. 30, 1990) in Sarasota, Fla. Burial will be in Curriers Cemetery.
Vance was a retired Allied Chemical chemist and formerly lived in Delevan, East Aurora, Camillus and Morris Plains, N.J., before moving to Sarasota.
He attended Delevan United Methodist Church and was a former member of Borden's baseball team and the East Aurora Country Club.
His first wife, LuDora Twiss Vance, died in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie Dedrick Vance; two sons, Paul Vance of Weston, Conn., and Ronald Vance of Evergreen, Colo.; a sister, Florence Meahl of Arcade, and six grandchildren.
