BUFFALO REMINDERS ABOUND IN FLORIDA

You can take the boy out of Buffalo, but how do you take Buffalo out of the boy?

I recently fled the Big Chill, at least for the winter, and ended up in Ft. Pierce, Fla., 1350 miles away. So Buffalo is gone, but not forgotten.

The other day the local paper carried its regular Toles cartoon, and underneath, a story by News columnist Steve Weller.

Then, I turned on the TV and there were the Bills being cheered by 75,000 Western New Yorkers. And at halftime a jogger came by the house and said he was listening to Van Miller in a broadcast picked up by a Miami radio station.
