HAMILTON MAN IS INJURED WHEN CAR STRUCK BY PICKUP

Deputies said a Hamilton, Ont., man's left arm was injured when his car was sideswiped by a pickup truck Tuesday evening on Saunders Settlement Road near Walmore Road.

Thomas Atkinson, 52, had his left arm outside the car when it was sideswiped by the pickup.

Atkinson was treated in Mount St. Mary's Hospital then taken to Hamilton General Hospital. Capt. Anthony Berak and Deputy Edward Briggs of the Niagara County Sheriff's Department, who are continuing an investigation, said Atkinson's wife, Maureen, 51, escaped injury along with a driver and three occupants of the truck owned by Wizard Methods.
