EXERCISE FOR ELDERLY OFFERED AT LEW-PORT SCHOOL

A free program of gentle exercises for persons at least 55 years old will be offered by the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation center of Mount St. Mary's Hospital from 11 a.m. to noon each Thursday, starting Thursday at Lewiston-Porter Primary School, 4011 Creek Road.

Mary Ricciardi, assistant administrator of the hospital, said the soft aerobic exercises can be done while sitting in a chair or standing, and can be modified for persons with limited mobility or who are confined to wheelchairs.

A physician's approval form, which is available at the hospital, is required.
