The day for remembering America's war dead in somber cemetery observances was also a day for parades to honor veterans in Western New York.
Those who felt that the holiday was incomplete without a marching band or an honor guard certainly had a variety of locations from which to choose.
And the marching weather was magnificent: warm, clear and breezy. It was a perfect combination for doing just about anything outside. Thunderstorms moved into the area today, however, and after some sunny intervals this afternoon, more rain may fall tonight. Story on B5.
