A celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of the National Baseball Hall of Fame will be held Saturday, June 10, in Cooperstown. First, there'll be a parade, followed by the official opening of the hall's new wing and 250-seat theater.
Two games are scheduled: at 1 p.m. a game of townball, considered the predecessor of baseball, and at 3 p.m. the Equitable Old Timers Game, featuring Hall of Famers Robin Roberts, Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, Warren Spahn, Willie Stargell, Bob Feller and Harmon Killebrew.
