A man arrested Saturday after police said he struck a parked vehicle on the 1100 block of North Avenue faces other charges after he was accused of concealing a pocket knife and creating a disturbance at police headquarters.
Joseph Fritts, 51, of 1828 North Ave. was arrested at 4 p.m. Saturday after Patrolman Anthony Conte said his car struck a parked vehicle. A 12-gauge shotgun and blackjack were found in the car, Conte said.
Booking officer Steve Baum said Fritts tried to conceal a pocket knife and created a disturbance while being booked.
Fritts faces City Court arraignment Tuesday on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated, possession of a loaded weapon, possession of a blackjack, obstructing governmental administration and attempting to conceal a weapon.
