WINS APPOINTMENT-Airman 1st class Kyle Mikos, son of Theodore and Marsha Mikos of Tonawanda, has won an appointment to the Ai8r Force Academy. The 21 year old Tonawanda High Schol graduate has been station at Columbus Air Force base in Mississippi for two years. he is a communications computer programs management specialist. In high school he was in the top 10 percent of his class belonged to the National Honor Society and was on the wrestling and football teams. He plans to major in computer science - one of 25 majors offered at the Air Force Academy....
NEW BOSS -- Maj. Thomas M. Yackley will take command of the Marine Corps recruiting station in Buffalo from Maj. James M. Lovely during a change-of-command ceremony at 10 a.m. June 9 aboard the USS Little Rock in the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Servicemen's Park. Yackley has been a leatherneck for 13 years. Lovely will report to Fort Leavenworth, Kan., to attend the Army Command and General Staff College. He came to Buffalo in 1986. .. . .
