FRANKLIN ROSENBERG, LOCKPORT FIRE CAPTAIN

A Mass of Christian Burial for Franklin "Babe" Rosenberg, who retired in 1986 as a captain after a 37-year career with the Lockport Fire Department, was offered today in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 76 Church St. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.

Rosenberg, 65, of Jennifer Drive died Wednesday (May 24, 1989) in his home.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Rosenberg was a life member of Navy Ship 110 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2535. He also was a member of the Lockport Firefighters Benevolent Association and Local 963, International Association of Firefighters. He served on the board of directors of the Niagara County Employees Federal Credit Union.

Survivors include his wife, the former Zita Kelly, and a brother, George.
