A suspected drug dealer, who was chased through the back yard of a East Delavan Avenue home, tried to get rid of three bags of cocaine before he was arrested Thursday night, police said.

Timothy Clyburn, 21, of 288 Northland Ave. was arrested near East Delavan Avenue and Pansy Place at 9:20 p.m. after being chased by Cold Spring Station police officers.

As Clyburn ran into the rear yard at 281 East Delavan, he threw away three bags containing more than than one-eighth of an ounce of cocaine, police said.

Clyburn, who was forcibly subdued, was charged with fourth- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, first-degree loitering and resisting arrest.
