POLICE SAY DRUG SUSPECT WORE A BULLETPROOF VEST

Police said a man arrested on a drug charge Wednesday night was wearing a bulletproof vest. Genesee Station Officers William Johnson and Timothy Salamone said Fred Johnson, 23, of 506 Moselle St. was charged with possession of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental administration.

They said Johnson ducked into a Goodyear Avenue house after they observed a suspected drug sale at Goodyear and McKibben Street about 9:30 p.m.

The officers believe that before they arrested Johnson, he discarded the contents of several bags that contained a residue of suspected cocaine.
