No one objected to changes in county Agricultural District 3 at a Chautauqua County Legislature public hearing Wednesday night on continuing the district.
The district has been in existence for 16 years, and must be reviewed every eight years.
Changes were made based on to aerial photographs. Land such as the parcels being used for the new Lakeview Correctional Facility on Route 380 was removed from the district, while farmland in the southern part of the town was added. The Village of Brocton was removed from the district, as was some property along Lake Erie that is used for residences.
The Legislature is expected to act on renewing the district at its June 14 meeting.
