IROQUOIS VOTERS OK 1989-90 SPENDING PLAN

Iroquois Central School District voters Wednesday narrowly approved an $18.9 million spending plan that represents an 11.9 percent increase in tax rates for the six towns in the district.

Elma, the only town still using a fractionalized assessment system, will have a tax rate of $170 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.

A separate proposition to fund the purchase of five school buses for $229,715 was approved 337-199.

Linda Riley ran unopposed for her second five-year term on the board.
