Buffalo Publishing, a printing and publishing firm at 125 Broadway, has appointed Annette J. Holzman vice president of sales and marketing and has named Michael P. Fitch vice president of operations.

Ms. Holzman previously was an account executive at Blue Shield. She earned a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a master's degree from the University at Buffalo.

Fitch formerly served as an account executive for Blue Cross of Western New York. He holds a bachelor's degree from Daemen College and a master's degree from UB.

Tops Markets Inc. has promoted Carmen Gerace to senior vice president of merchandising in its retail division. He previously was vice president of merchandising. He is a graduate of Canisius College and a resident of Lancaster.

Bonwit Teller has named Roger Holzheimer general manager of its new Walden Galleria mall store. He formerly served as director of stores for Wilkes Sport Ltd. in San Francisco, Calif. Prior to that, Holzheimer was store manager of Lazarus Department Stores in Heath, Ohio.

Empire of America Federal Savings Bank has elected Joseph P. Hillery senior accounting officer in its financial control area. He manages bank reconciliation, deposit, fixed asset and securities investment accounting. He is a graduate of Canisius College and lives in Lackawanna.

M&T Bank has promoted Linda D. Hummel and Dante A. Marasi to assistant vice presidents.

Ms. Hummel is a strategic planning analyst in the planning and research department. She holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and a master's degree from the University at Buffalo. Ms. Hummel also is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. She lives in Williamsville.

Marasi is manager of the loss prevention unit in the bank's security department. He joined the M&T in 1956 and was named banking officer in 1964. He lives in the Town of Tonawanda.

Dopkins & Co., a certified public accounting firm at 200 International Drive, has announced that Marlene M. Baginski, Maureen A. Pavalko and Edith J. Troy have passed the state examination for certified public accountants. They are all staff accountants with the firm.

Marine Midland Bank has appointed Paul J. Siska unit manager in its bank card security department. He lives in Getzville.

Wagner Folding Box Corp., 1627 Broadway, has honored Emily Kaminski and Raymond Netzel for 50 years of service. Ms. Kaminski is quality control coordinator and Netzel is a die maker.
