JUDGE POSTPONES RULING IN AFTER-SCHOOL BIBLE CASE

A judge Monday reserved decision on whether to rule out money damages in the continuing suit of an after-school Bible study class against Schools Superintendent Eugene T. Reville and six Buffalo School Board members

Attorneys for the school board argued before Supreme Court Judge William J. Ostrowski that it is impermissible to threaten Reville and school board members for failing to decide over a year ago to let the Bible studies resume at the school after city attorneys warned of constitutional problems with such religion-oriented activity.
