New officers of Niagara Frontier Botanical Society are president, Thaddeus V. Bieniek; vice president, Michael Siuta; treasurer, Dorothea Hall; secretary, Patricia Eckel; directors, Richard Christensen, Lincoln P. Nutting and Wavel H. Barber.
Officers will be elected by Erie Salon 51, Eight and Forty American Legion Auxiliary, at 8 p.m. Friday in George F. Lamm American Legion Post clubhouse. Delegates to the state convention in Albany also will be chosen. Peggy Sopko, chaplain, will conduct a memorial service for deceased members.
Derby Club will have its first tennis tournament of the season over the Memorial Day weekend. Michael W. Melnik is organizing a round robin doubles event and Mrs. Jerry A. Ruhl has charge of hospitality. Edmund W. Burke is tennis chairman.

Inner Harbor Yacht Club's annual shake down cruise will be held Sunday starting at 1:15 p.m. Boats will meet at the cove, just north of the Holiday Inn on the Niagara River, and cruise down the Erie Barge Canal past the Inner Harbor guest dock for the blessing of the boats by the Rev. Jerome J. Stelmach of St. John Kanty Catholic Church. Fleet Capt. Carl J. Runfola is chairman. A pancake breakfast will be served in the clubhouse from 10 a.m. until noon. Herbert C. Adams is chairman. There will be a cook-out from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Peg Dillenbeck has been elected president of Buffalo Alumnae Chapter, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.
